When you have signed a contract of sale for residential property, you are able to ‘cool off’ within three (3) business days – provided that you haven’t purchased the property at auction, haven’t previously had a contract of sale for the same property and are not an estate agent purchasing the property.
If you do change your mind, you must notify your solicitor or conveyancer within the three (3) day period – it’s a good idea to notify your agent as well.
